Our COVID-19 Mitigation Team has carefully reviewed these guidelines and has made adjustments to our current quarantine practices for staff and students and isolation practices for Hopkins staff.
With the Covid-10 Omicron surge continuing to be challenging on many levels, we want to provide you with some brief updates about where we are with continuing to operate in-person school in Hopkins
Omicron is the dominant COVID-19 variant in the United States. While we have faced several variants throughout this pandemic, Omicron is unique and will present challenges for us through this month and perhaps beyond.
Starting next school year (2022-23) Hopkins will adjust school start times such that elementary schools start earlier and secondary schools start later. Starting in the 2023-24 school year, we will transition 6th-graders to middle school, and 9th graders to our high school.

Hopkins will be canceling the remaining Thursday late starts for the year and replacing them with all-day professional learning days on the Fridays following the originally scheduled late start.
Events will be added to this area as they are published.
