Schools & Communities in Partnership (SCIP) - Mission & Vision

Vision - SCIP collaborative members recognize education as a collective and lifelong journey. We are dedicated to collaboratively creating an environment where each person can flourish because we have taken care to form solutions that are of, by, and for Hopkins community members.

Mission - SCIP is a vibrant collaborative effort that leverages school-community partnerships to enhance wellness outcomes for the whole Hopkins community with particular focus on youth and families. Participating partners foster strong, trusting relationships among and between students, caregivers, school staff and leaders, and community-based partner organizations and individuals in order to build equitable supports - for everyone.

Community engagement - Members seek to holistically understand both community strengths and challenges. We actively build a deep collective understanding of trends in academic and post-secondary interests, collective and individual emotional and social well-being, community members' cultural diversity and linguistic skillsets. Then, we work to address gaps in system processes and service-delivery for an empowered and thriving community.
