Teach a Class

Your first step will be to to submit your new instructor form. This application will go to the Enrichment team at Hopkins Community Education for review.

New Instructor Form

Once the form is submitted, you will receive an email from the Enrichment team to further discuss your application to see if it is a good fit for Hopkins Community Education. The Enrichment team will take 1-3 weeks to review your new instructor form depending on the time of year and will follow up with new instructors via email.  Community Education will select classes that best fit our current program needs. Not all classes may be offered. 

Please use a reference from someone who can speak to your teaching ability. Ideally, we would like to talk to someone from a Community Education department; however, if this is not possible, another organization will work. An email and phone number should be provided for all references. 

The Enrichment team will send a class proposal form each season for class ideas. Our catalog schedule is summer, fall, winter/spring. We will send the form via email 2-3 months before the season begins. Once the form is received, the enrichment team will review the classes, enter them into the system, then inform the instructor of the classes we plan to offer. 

Community Education will work on marketing classes through physical and digital catalogs, thoughtful emails, partnering with local businesses to cross-market, social media and through other methods with Hopkins Public Schools. It is recommended that instructors also promote their classes. 

All classes will be available for registration on the Hopkins Community Education course website.
