About Us

Kids & Company is Hopkins Public Schools' premiere before- and after-school care program for children in kindergarten through fifth-grade. A fee-based program, Kids & Company is offered in all six of the District's six elementary schools. As well as limited locations on non-school days.

Contract Request

Contract request window for School Year 2026-27 will be open April 6-17, 2026. Check back for updated information in March 2026!

Contracts will be accepted based on staffing and building capacity.

Registration Process

If more contracts are requested than are available at a specific site, a random computerized lottery will be held. There will be no preference given based on date of contract request submission. Registration process details are available here.

Note

Your account must be in good standing with all Hopkins Community Education programs in order to register for a current or upcoming summer or school year program. Your contract request will be placed on hold until payment has been received in full.

Scholarships Available

The application period for the summer and school year programs in 2025 has now closed due to funding availability.

The next application period will open on February 2, 2026, for support during the summer and school year of 2026.

Hopkins Community Ed offers scholarship funds for qualifying families in need of assistance to pay for child care fees for Kids & Company. Please contact ResourceWest for assistance options:

Kids & Company Summer 2026 (Grades 1-4)

Contract Request

Contract request for Summer 2026 opens Monday, February 16 at 8:00pm.

Contract approvals will start the week of March 23, 2026. Approvals are processed one at a time, in the order received, based on staffing. You may receive your approval at a different time than others. If needed, waitlist information will be shared the week of May 4, 2026.

$53 per day

Summer tuition is charged every 3 weeks and payment is due on the following dates: June 15, July 6, and July 27.

How to change your schedule once approved:
No fee schedule changes until May 15.
All changes must be in writing to Kids_Company@HopkinsSchools.org or can be updated in your eleyo account.

How to make changes to your schedule starting May 16:

Add a day:

To add a day to your schedule, please reach out to your site for approval.
Drop-in days are approved/denied based on the student to staff ratio of the day you are requesting.
You will be charged a Drop-in fee of$58 to add a day pre-approved with 24 hours or more notice, or Same Day fee of $63 (approval onsite required)

Remove a day:

To remove any days requires 1 weeks notice.
Incurs a $20 schedule change fee.
Removals need to be emailed to Billing Office: Kids_Company@HopkinsSchools.org

We offer before and after childcare for those students attending Royal Learning Academy or Freedom School. Transportation is available between Kids & Company site and RLA/FS - families are responsible to set that up with RLA/FS.
